Ghana's Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama voiced interest on Wednesday in enhancing trade and strengthen bilateral ties with Cuba .
At a meeting with Cuban Vice President Esteban Lazo, Mahama said Ghana could trade cocoa for Cuban cement, adding that his country could learn a lot from its Cuban counterpart in education and health.
Lazo voiced certainty that this visit will further strengthen the historic Cuba-Ghana relations and collaboration that started with Ghana's independence in 1957.
The visitor also met with Education Minister Luis Ignacio Gomez whom he thanked for Havana's gesture to increase the scholarships to his country.
Some members of the accompanying delegation showed interest in Cuba's program benefiting over 100,000 youth that had previously neither studied or work, and now have employment studying.
